The Studio

This is where it all happens!

My studio is a place where creatives of all styles and genres can really let loose and make something special. There's a lot of history within these walls: In the '90s, it was the mixing space for movies like Austin Powers and David Lynch's Lost Highway. In the 2000s and 2010s, it became a hotspot in the LA music scene where artists like Paramore and 5 Seconds of Summer recorded groundbreaking albums and hits. Each room has a unique character that's perfect for capturing sounds and bringing new ideas to life.

The Features

The studio features three unique spaces: an iso-booth, a full recording room, and a control room. Each space has double-door isolation, slanted ceiling surfaces, and a floating floor design. This makes it a perfect place for getting a wide array of sounds and textures that we otherwise couldn't, and gives me a little extra "something" to compliment whatever type of project we're working on.

The Final Product

Quality mixing and mastering...being able to really HEAR every detail, is essential for capturing the right sound for whatever style we're going for. With an accurate listening room, top-notch music gear, and the ear of an industry professional, every piece of music that leaves this place gets the treatment it needs to achieve top-notch quality that will sound great everywhere.

So let's build something amazing together, yeah?

the history

It all started in the 1950s when Liberace, the highest-paid entertainer in the world at the time, had a recording studio built in Mid-City, Los Angeles. This was where he kept his most prized pianos and rehearsed hit pieces with top musicians and bands for almost 30 years. Purposefully incognito, with a false storefront and secret back entrance, it was, and continued to be, the perfect hideout for famous creatives to gather on the down-low. It's been continuously remodeled and restructured over the years as technology and modern recording standards evolved, but while the look has changed a lot, its vintage feel remains, and the history within the walls is still evident.

Much of its history from the '70s onward remains a mystery to me. But in the ‘90s, it became the audio mixing hub for feature films like Austin Powers, Blade, and David Lynch’s Lost Highway. In the early 2000s, it became a recording hotspot in the LA music scene under the direction of famed music producer Mike Green. For the next 20 years, creatives from all over the world would create chart-topping and award-winning material here, from Paramore and Five Seconds of Summer, to Sum 41 and The Wanted.

When the COVID-19 pandemic struck, the studio was abandoned, and due to its hidden nature, it sat untouched for over two years. In 2022, by some cosmic twist of fate, I discovered it and took over. It's been my musical playground ever since.
